If you like beach scenes or birds of any variety, this is place to visit. Michael not only has awesome pictures of sea birds, but I really like the fluffy owl chick pictures too. Somewhat jarring are the pictures from the Costa Rica jungle (he travels there) on Hatteras, but they are pretty cool.
He also has historical pictures of local scenery, but I'm for the birds....
We visited Michael's studio and ended up staying there for over an hour - he's a great guy, welcoming, and knowledge. He's been in The Outer Banks since the 70s (the oldest gallery in the Banks) and has captured a lot of the finer points of the area. We're glad to have taken home a photo of his, to call one of the finer treasures of our visit.
