We rented 3 wave runners. When I called to ask questions I got voicemail. I had just hung up and Ronnie was calling back. Took a 20 mile drive up and it started thundering. They put safety first and wouldn't let us on the water.
This is the kind of place that makes vacations truly amazing! This was the only place we could find that let you go out as far as you wanted, and the guy who got us setup was beyond incredibly nice! Would highly recommend choosing this place over the others!
Rented jet skis twice today. Great experience and staff was friendly! I chose Charlie's to rent jet skis based on other great reviews online and it did not disappoint! I love the fact if you leave your credit card and drivers license that you can go wherever you want in the sound. That is a huge plus. Look forward to coming here again on the next OBX trip.
I initially went to another outfit that was kind of close. Riding inside of the buoys and a lot of jet ski's on the water made it look very congested. I stopped by Charlie's and there you could go anywhere in the sound. The staff here were great. Not only were they friendly to me, the took the time to engage my son. The equipment was in excellent shape and they made sure to put us on a ski that suited us. I took my son to a completely open area of the sound so we wouldn't have to worry about traffic. Unfortunately, I think being out there so far from anyone else, my son got scared and cut the trip short. I would never ask for a discount because my son got scared; it was our fault. The gave me one anyway. When my son is ready to try again, we will be back! Thank you Charlie's! I highly recommend Charlie's!

Great staff. Friendly people. Rented wave runners and a pontoon boat from them in the same week. Easy renting process. Highly recommended. Will see them again next year for sure.
Had to come back the next day, and they got us out quickly. Even apologized for the weather like it was their fault. Super friendly, great experience, equipment good shape.
